On May 18, Point Park University saw a sheepdog demonstration with Brendan Ferris, the sheepdog shepherd at the Ring of Kerry.

Brendan Ferris hosted a Sheepdog Demonstration where the audience could view and learn about his job as a sheep herder.

Photo 5: Sheep wait to be sorted during Ferris’ demonstration. The dogs help Ferris select which sheep should be separated from the rest of the group.
Photo 6: Ferris' demonstrates how the sheep respond to the dogs different postures. Laying down or walking does not scare them, but a stalking stance alerts the sheep to the presence of a possible predator.
